About IRUNS

The Iranian Review for UN Studies (IRUNS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Iranian Association for UN Studies (IAUNS). Established in 2000 and officially licensed by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, IAUNS is a non-governmental scientific organization dedicated to independent research and scholarly engagement with the United Nations. It holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Open Access Policy

IRUNS is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available to the public and published based on the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided proper credit is given to the authors and the original source. Authors are required to register and display a free ORCID ID and provide an academic email address, especially for the corresponding author. Authors are encouraged to obtain an ORCID ID before submitting their manuscripts.

The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research in areas including:

• United Nations Activities and their impact on global governance.
• Iran's Practice in international law and relations.
• Topics related to various fields of international law and international relations.
• Collaborative Research between Iranian and international scholars.
• Book Reviews of works written in Persian and other languages.

IRUNS welcomes interdisciplinary studies spanning fields such as international law, political science, economics, and social studies. The journal aims to foster dialogue among scholars worldwide, particularly between Iranian and non-Iranian researchers.
