The journal accepts original research articles related to the United Nations and its specialized agencies, as well as articles addressing UN-related issues involving Iran. Submissions that explore topics in international law and international relations with an interdisciplinary approach, including but not limited to International Human Rights law, International Humanitarian Law, The International law of the Sea, Air-space Law, International Economic law, etc, are also welcomed.
In which languages can articles be submitted? Submissions may be written in Persian, English, or French.
Are there any fees associated with article submission? Authors whose first language is not English or French may be required to cover the cost of professional editing for their articles in these languages after acceptance.
What are the formatting requirements for submitted articles? Articles should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words in length and must be typed using Microsoft Word. Titles, abstracts, quotations, and other elements should be formatted in accordance with the journal’s specific guidelines. Book reviews have a 1000-word limit (including footnotes) and should be submitted in 10-point Times New Roman. IRUNS may also accept Notes & Comments with the requirement that they be edited down to meet the word limit of 3,000 to 5,000 words including footnotes.
What is the peer review process, and how long does it take? Each article undergoes a double-blind review process conducted by two anonymous reviewers. The review timeline varies depending on the complexity and structure of the manuscript, but the journal aims to complete the evaluation process within three months.
How should references and citations be formatted? References should be numbered as footnotes and formatted according to the journal's style, including detailed information about books, articles, and other sources.
Can I submit an article that has already been published elsewhere? Only original, unpublished articles are accepted. Authors are required to submit a declaration confirming the originality and exclusivity of their work.
