Journal Article 2021 05 23 The main objective of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a member of the World Bank Group, is to advance economic development and reduce poverty by financing private sector projects in developing countries. Private sector projects are the threshold to every country’s economy and actually, they are the building block of each economy. It is the private sector which can deal with projects zeroing in on infrastructures. In this paper the question whether in reality the IFC is playing an effective role of private and public international financing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) effectively, will be examined. In order to respond to this question, reference will be made to issues such as public-private partnership framework/nature of IFC’s performance. This paper concludes that, in practice, it is not clear that where the largest development impact of financing is to be found to meet the SDGs effectively, hence the IFC has no choice but to play a hybrid role in private and public international financing as this will increase its efficiency and capability to become an effective international financial institutions. هدف اصلی موسسه مالی بین‌المللی (IFC) به عنوان عضوی از گروه بانک جهانی، پیشبرد توسعه اقتصادی و کاهش فقر از طریق تأمین مالی پروژه‌های بخش خصوصی در کشورهای در حال توسعه است.  پروژه‌های بخش خصوصی، آستانه ورود به اقتصاد هر کشوری هستند و در واقع، آنها سنگ بنای هر اقتصادی محسوب می‌شوند. این بخش خصوصی است که می‌تواند با پروژه‌هایی که بر زیرساخت‌ها تمرکز دارند، سروکار داشته باشد. در این مقاله، این سؤال که آیا واقعا، IFC نقش مؤثری در تأمین مالی بین‌المللی خصوصی و عمومی برای دستیابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار سازمان ملل (SDGs) ایفا می‌کند، بررسی خواهد شد. برای پاسخ به این سؤال، به موضوعاتی مانند چارچوب مشارکت عمومی-خصوصی و ماهیت عملکرد IFC اشاره خواهد شد. این مقاله نتیجه می‌گیرد که در عمل، مشخص نیست که بیشترین تأثیر توسعه‌ای تأمین مالی در کجا قرار دارد تا به طور مؤثر SDGs را برآورده کند، از این رو IFC چاره‌ای جز ایفای نقشی ترکیبی در تأمین مالی بین‌المللی خصوصی و عمومی ندارد، زیرا این امر کارایی و توانایی آن را برای تبدیل شدن به یک مؤسسه مالی بین‌المللی پیشرو افزایش می‌دهد. http://www.iruns.ir/article_224905_4e340ba4eaeb70c87b9205d08b51a2e3.pdf
