The United Nations policy has always been formed to welcome such international agreements and to try to form a suitable bed for their full implementation. Considering the unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA by the U.S and the favorable positions of the European countries in preserving it, the role that the Secretary-General of the United Nations can play as the chief administrative officer in this regard is very important. Based on article 99 of the UN Charter, the Secretary-General is to play his role in maintaining the integrity and commitment of the United Nations to its obligations in accordance with the document and UN Security Council resolution 2231. It seems that Mr Antonio Guterres with his good record in his former role in UNHCR, can play a positive role in maintaining the JCPOA. سازمان ملل متحد با هدف استقرار صلح و امنیت بین المللی و در واکنش به پیامدهای خونبار جنگهای جهانی به وجود آمد. سیاست سازمان ملل همواره بر استقبال از چنین توافقات بین المللی و سعی در ایجاد بستر مناسب برای اجرای کامل آنها شکل گرفته است. با توجه به خروج آمریکا از برجام و مواضع مساعد کشورهای اروپایی در حفظ آن، نقشی که دبیرکل ملل متحد بعنوان عالیترین مقام حقیقی سازمان ملل در این زمینه می تواند ایفا کند بسیار حائز اهمیت است. با روی کار آمدن آقای آنتونیو گوترش و انتخاب وی به اتفاق آرای اعضای دائمی شورای امنیت و سوابق خوبی که در نقش پیشین خود در کمیساریای عالی ملل متحد برای پناهندگان دارد، می توان به ایفای نقش وی در زمینه حفظ برجام امیدوار بود. http://www.iruns.ir/article_100957_9e5a04b22106a04a1537b03096e8b6e5.pdf
